Paul the Octopus which made the world to turn back towards him by forecasting the exact final winner of the World Cup FIFA 2010 between Spain and Netherlands was died on Tuesday morning due to natural causes said the aquarium officials. The news of Paul the octopus had been the hot news of Internet for several hours which clearly shows how much impact the octopus has made among the people.

Aquarium officials said that Paul was looking good when we feeded him in the evening and we were totally shocked over when we realized that the octopus was no more.

Paul picked up the top spot of headlines during the FIFA world cup 2010 by predicting the winner in all of the Germany’s seven matches, and more importantly in the final clash of the Spain and the Netherlands for the title.

Paul who forecasted the winner of each match by picking up the food container which was tagged with the concerned teams flag of the match. It also played a role of fortuneteller for the entire season of Euro 2008.

Aquarium in its report said that Paul was born at the sea Life Center Branch in Weymouth, Great Britain in the year of 2008. Currently Paul is 2 ½ year old.
