"Saw 3D" Dominates Halloween box officeAdding up more to the flavor of the horror-Halloween, the debutant Saw made an remarkable earning in the box office to climb to the top spot of this Halloween weekend beating up all its rival. The seventh and last version of the Saw series who came out in the 3D for the first time went past the expectation and grossed more than 24.2 million dollars. Saw 3D was opened in nearly 3,500 screens at more than 2,808 theaters all over. Saw 3D was previously planned to release in the theaters by October 22nd but the schedule was changed and made to get into the theaters on Thursday as an eye over Halloween, soon after the previous weekend topper “Paranormal Activity 2” muscled in on that date.

Paranormal Activity 2 faced a major drop of about 59% decline in the ticket sales in its second week which slipped from its top position to secure 2nd spot. Paranormal made about 65.7 million dollars in its 10 days of shows. “Red” picked up 3rd spot making about 10.8 million and which has made about 58.9 million dollars in its 17 days of shows in theater. Aftershock first Chinese movie which made its presence in IMAX earned more than 100 million dollar in China managed to pick up 10 million dollars across US and Canada. China recently announced that the film will be its official selection for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2010 Oscars.

The movie centers around massive earthquake which took place in China in 1976 which grabbed the attention of people much all over the globe.
