It has been a sad end to the young US swimmer who died unfortunately on Saturday , while playing in the ongoing FINA Open Water 10-kilometer World Cup in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. However still no clear reports of how he was died and the US open water Swimmer was found dead in the water after couple of hours after not making his presence in the race which he was supposed to play. However US sports federation has arranged for a investigation regarding this death and officials failed to comment immediately regarding his death.
“While the causes of this death remain under investigation, FINA and the entire aquatic community address, in this moment of grief, their deepest and sincere condolences to his family, friends and to US Aquatic Sports and USA Swimming family,” the organization said in their statement about the incident.
However other reports claims that Crippen has previously before he start of the match informed to his coach that he is completely not feeling much well and not in the mood to participate in the race. FINA has taken the issue seriously and are looking in various aspects regarding his death and this has been the first incident of death in any FINA event.
Crippen was the 2007 Pan American Games 10 kilometer open water gold medalist and 2009 World Championships 10 kilometer open water bronze medalist. He was born in Pennsylvania. He was 26.
However clear details of this death will come to known within a couple of days after the autopsy results comes out said the FINA officials.
